Много често на Петрохан сме виждали прашен дявол. Дали някой си дава сметка, какъв сериозен пакостник е това?

Прашните дяволи приличат на малко торнадо. Казва се така, защото вдига със себе си прах и леки сламки, треви и боклуци. Образуват, когато имаме силно нагрята повърхнини и хладен въздух (температурна разлика). Това е вихрушка, която се върти и движението и е нагоре. Храни се като се движи и обира топлината по пътя си, а покрай него се изсипва стена от студен въздух, което прави системата стабилна. Ако движейки се навлезе в по-хладни зони, прашния дявол може да се дестабилизира и разпадне. На Петрохан догоних един прашен дявол, влязох вътре и се разходих из него с разперени ръце. Доста бързо се движи и трябва да тичаш, за да останеш в него. Доста е забавно :) Предпоставки за вихрушките са равнинни и равно нагряти местности са по-голяма предпоставка за образуване на по-големи прашни дяволи, но принципно може да се образуват навсякъде, където се получат необходимите условия за това. В пустинята, в планината, в града, дори в морето. Вятъра вътре може да достигне до 40-100 км. в час в зависимост от големината и продължителност до 20 минути, преди да се разсее. На кацане с делтапланер, ако видите прашен дявол се опитайте да приземите там, където вече е минал. Ако няма такава възможност, гледайте да приземите максимално далеч от него, и побързайте да се откачите от крилото и да го спуснете на земята. Обикновено няма много време и тогава е нужен и малко късмет, за да не мине точно през нас. Добре, че като цяло се случва рядко.

Това лято пътувайки по магистралата виждам отстрани една доста мощна вихрушка, която се движеше доста бързо и траекториите ни се пресякоха точно когато вихъра пресичаше платното.Бях с висока скорост и не можех рязко да спра или увелича.Всичко стана доста бързо усетих затрисане в купето и множество удари от пясъка и дребните и не толкова дребните камъни които носеше.Добре, че не се счупи стъкло.На село ни е отмъквало цяла купа със сено 2 на 2 метра и го разпиля, ходи го събирай!
Така, че крилото би могло да бъде отнесено и счупено.
